I picked up my moms point and shoot camera when I was thirteen, and immediately fell in love with photographing the world around me.
I was given so many amazing opportunities by people in my church growing up that let me take family photos of them and graduation photos of their kids. That was where I learned what I know. Trial and error.
I have been photographing people and various types of events for almost 10 years now. I have only started getting serious about growing my photography/videography business for under a year now.
I started filming on a whim when I was asked by a friend of mine to be a third shooter for a wedding he was filming for his videography business. After that day, I fell in love with capturing motion, not just stills.
I was given the opportunity to film for several Christian camps over the course of 3 years, and that is where I learned a lot of my knowledge about filming. After I started college, I didn't think anything about filming anymore and focused more on photography.
It wasn't until one of my best friends was getting married that she asked me to film her wedding for her. She knew I did videography when I was a teen, but had all but stopped pursuing it. I told her I would love to help her out, so as her wedding gift, I made her wedding video. I fell in love all over again and that has landed me where I am now.
